 The Crematorium in Memmingen (Bavaria, Southern Germany) was opened in October 2006, making it the first crematorium built and operated by 'the Facultatieve Group' outside of the Netherlands.
The Memmingen Crematorium ensures that all deceased persons are cremated within 24 hours of their funeral ceremony, allowing interment of the urn to take place much sooner than previously. Relatives also have the opportunity to witness the coffin entering the oven from a room specially designed for the purpose. This is very special and unique? in the German context.
