NorGhaVo is a Ghanian-Dutch development organisation. The organisation’s aim is to contribute to the structural development of North Ghana in a practical and targeted way, and in a more general sense, to increase understanding of other cultures.
Norghavo is planning a project in Navrongo, located in the extreme north of Ghana, which will involve setting up easily accessible regional computer education. Small enterprises will be supported and a public facility will be provided so everyone can make use of the internet.
In cooperation with local residents and official organisations, a centre is to be built with classes, training and meeting facilities, and an internet cafe: The Computer Access & Development Center Navrongo. Dutch volunteers will be assisting with the start up and supervision of this centre.
Ultimately, the centre will be self-supporting, as the voluntary work focuses on training local residents so they will eventually be able to run it themselves.
