‘The Facultatieve Group’ signs “equal employment for less able-bodied” covenant
On 7 June, Henry Keizer, President of 'the Facultatieve Group', signed a covenant demonstrating that 'the Facultatieve Group' is serious about providing equal employment opportunities to the less able-bodied and the chronically incapacitated. This covenant was developed by the Valid Foundation, a charitable body aiming to make a lasting contribution to equal participation on the labour market for the physically handicapped and/or chronically ill.
'The Facultatieve Group' has supported the aims of Valid Express for a number of years already. Valid Express is a special courier service in that all drivers suffer physical limitations (are physically handicapped and/or chronically ill).
The ‘open for a bothersome body’ covenant was signed in the presence of Mark Rutte (leader of the Dutch People’s Party for Freedom and Democracy) and by Nicolette Mak (founder of Valid Foundation). From left to right on the photo: Arrad Eshel (joint covenant initiator), Henry Keizer, Mark Rutte and Nicolette Mak. Later in the day, Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende also signed a message of support.
