 The third Uitvaartbeurs (Funerary Trade Fair) was held in Alkmaar on 9 April. With more than 1,250 visitors, this year's trade fair in Grote Kerk in Alkmaar was another great success. Westerveld Cemetery & Crematorium - part of 'the Facultatieve Group' - was one of nearly one hundred participants.
At its stand - with the fitting theme of Westerveld: 'plainly' unique - Westerveld showed a number of examples of the wide range of possibilities in the field of catering: from special “treats” to an extensive sweet package with petit fours and chocolates.
Plants
At Westerveld, there are a lot of possibilities in terms of plants too. In order to inform visitors about the various options, a flowerbed with beautiful plants surrounding a grave stone had been created on the stand. The reaction from visitors was very positive.
The warm atmosphere and openness of the Alkmaar Uitvaartbeurs surprised visitors and created an informal ambiance. This trade fair was an excellent opportunity for Westerveld to advise visitors informally about all the options which are available to them before, during and after a ceremony.
