Facultatieve Technologies – member of ‘the Facultatieve Group’ - is to commence installation in Canada of two FTIII cremators with filter systems. After in-depth research, the Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries in Toronto – that not only manages various crematoria, but also cemeteries and funeral homes – opted for Facultatieve Technologies. The systems are expected to be ready for use towards the end of next year.
Glenn McClary, President and CEO of Mount Pleasant Group of Cemeteries:‘We have a 185-year tradition of technical and service innovations, including our new solar-powered geothermal York Cemetery Columbarium and Canada’s only LEED-designated Visitation Centre in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. So we’re especially proud to lead the industry in adopting higher environmental standards, while offering meaningful choices for consumers. The new equipment is the most advanced cremator and emission abatement system available, and exceeds all known emission standards in the world.”
Intensive research
Facultatieve Technologies was commissioned for this job after 18 months of intensive research. The offer was compared to those of other manufacturers. In addition to both these projects, the Mount Pleasant Group intends to replace the systems in two other crematoria over the coming years.
Henry Keizer, President & CEO of ‘the Facultatieve Group’: “Mount Pleasant Group is well-known even outside Canada as a ‘green’ organization that invests a great deal of time and energy in innovation. Its history shows notable similarities to that of the Royal Facultatieve. We were soon talking the same language. We consider it an honour that they have chosen us as partner after such intensive research.”
