Moscowa participates in Open Monumentendag (Heritage Days)

National Open Monumentendag is being organized on Sunday 14 September. The Arnhem area will also be participating enthusiastically in this event, with Moscowa of course being an essential part of the programme!
During the day, Moscowa will be part of a route, allowing interested parties to have a cup of coffee and participate in a guided tour of these historical grounds at any time between 12.00 and 17.00 hours. These tours will take no more than an hour and will be led by trained staff.
The theme this year is ‘traces’. With the historical context of these monuments being the key focus of the day, we will trace the relationships of these buildings to other remains of both the distant and recent past, such as elements of the landscape, street patterns and archaeological finds.
On Open Monumentendag, thousands of monumental buildings across the country are opened to the public for free. This year will see this special day organized for the twentieth time. There is no shortage of interested parties; last year, the event attracted between 800,000 and 900,000 visitors. The Open Monumentendag is part of the European Heritage Days.
