Memmingen Crematorium has donated a sum of 33,500 euros to various projects in Memmingen involved in youthwork, culture and education. Under the watchful eye of Mayor Dr. Ivo Holzinger, Henry Keizer – President & CEO of ‘the Facultatieve Group’ – donated a total of € 33,500 to Memminger Kindergärten, Jugendeinrichtung "Splash", Seniorenbeirat Memmingen, Soziale Stadt Memmingen West, Memminger Schulen, Sing- und Musikschule Memmingen and Memminger Kultur.
Frits Möser
Memmingen Council plans to spend the gift on artwork by Memminger artist Fritz Möser. Möser came to Memmingen with his parents at the end of World War Two. He developed a passion for a special illustration technique: the linocut (Linolschnitt). Using this technique he has created more than 1000 illustrations that are used by various publications – from the Bible to collections by German poet Rainer Maria Rilke.
Memmingen Crematorium
“Since it opened in 2006, Memmingen Crematorium has played a very important role for many people in and around Memmingen”, says Henry Keizer. “With that involvement in mind, and motivated by our sense of social responsibility, it therefore gives us great pleasure to contribute to these worthy projects – for everyone in Memmingen.” Memmingen Crematorium opened its doors at Waldfriedhofstraße 4a in October 2006, and is a member of 'the Facultatieve Group'. Due to the many years of experience of ‘the Facultatieve Group’, Memmingen Crematorium has uninterrupted access to a vast pool of accumulated expertise to ensure that its cremation ceremonies are carried out in an appropriate and dignified way, the key principle being the highest standards of service with the personal touch. We are after all dealing with the wishes of the deceased and the bereaved.
