Introduction ‘Westerveld Polis’

Westerveld Cemetery & Crematorium, together with Facultatieve Verzerkingen, introduces the ‘Westerveld Polis (policy)’ for those who would like to reserve a location at Westerveld and insure the costs. With this new policy people can already guarantee themselves a place in the monumental remembrance park. Not only the grave, but a location in one of the urn gardens, the placing in a columbarium or a monument can be insured through the Westerveld Polis. Also the scattering of ashes, a commemorative-picture or jewellery for small amounts of ash can be arranged through this policy. It’s even possible to insure costs of mourning-care for the partner and/or children, and the declaration of the succession rights. Monumental Westerveld – one of the oldest private cemeteries (1890) and the first crematorium in the Netherlands – offers many possibilities. There are a lot of urn gardens and monumental columbaria, each with a unique style. A mausoleum is also a possibility. Because funerals nowadays become more personal there is also the need for a monument with a personal identity. That also can be arranged in the ‘Westerveld Polis’. “We know through experience that it is important to take as many arrangements as possible out of the hands of the relatives who are already going through a very emotional period”, says Mr. Henry J. Keizer, chairman of the Executive Board of ‘the Facultatieve Group’ to whom Westerveld belongs. “With the Westerveld Polis it can be done. After all, you do not only insure the costs but also reserve the place at Westerveld itself, together with all personal wishes.” Freedom of choice The Westerveld Polis offers great freedom of choice, also for the choice of funeral director. When somebody chooses Westerveld as their last resting place, then the Westerveld Polis can be arranged as an additional insurance to an already existing policy. Payment can be made as a lump sum (which can often be profitable because of tax advantages), but also monthly payments are possible. The insured amount and the payment will be adjusted every year so that the policy (which insures children up to the age of 18 for free) is always up to date.
