France was hit by Hurricane Xynthia during the night of 28 February, causing serious flooding. The worst affected region was the Vendée (French Atlantic Coast) with numerous victims in the areas of La-Faute-Sur-Mer and l'Aiguillon-Sur-Mer.
Hygeco International, which is part of the ‘the Facultatieve Group’, was contacted by the French authorities via Hygeco Post Mortem Assistance to provide and install a rapid intervention tent. With its refrigeration system, this tent makes it possible to preserve the bodies of victims under the best possible conditions.
