De Boskamp Open Day very well-attended

On Saturday 13 March, ‘De Boskamp’ Funeral Centre & Crematorium organized an Open Day. More than seven hundred visitors came to “take a peek” behind the scenes. Everyone was very keen to see the recent renovations.
Positive reactions
After a radical rebuild of part of ‘De Boskamp’, the moment had at last come for visitors to take their first look at the renovated areas. Reactions were extremely positive. “We are very proud of the metamorphosis” said Sietse de Vries, ‘De Boskamp’ Site Manager. “And the reactions of our visitors suggest that they are enthusiastic too. Which is good to know, especially as all the other rooms are being renovated in the same style. There is not yet a date for commencement of the next phase, as it’s all being done in stages to ensure as little disruption as possible to our services.”
During the Open Day, the modern yet refreshing character of the large auditorium, the family room and the reception area were particularly well received. Visitors were also very enthusiastic about the renovated Info & Aftercare area.
Guided tours
Using a map, everyone was able to navigate the rooms at their own pace. Many showed particular interest in the cremation area where, after a cup of coffee, visitors were led round in small groups by one of our professional staff members. The visiting rooms had been set up in such a way that all visitors could look around without having to jostle with other visitors. A special childcare service was available so parents could look around in peace and quiet.
After an equally well-attended gathering for business relations the previous day – which also attracted around two-hundred guests – the Open Day was a great success.
